The Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombs stopped the war so quickly that the implementation of these plans did not come to fruition. When you see photos of POWs held by the Japanese, the men look worse that those found in the German death camps. 71 years later, perspectives change, focus is lost. Unfortunately memories fade and history is recast to create a revised view that shades the atrocities of the Japanese people. Yes, I include civilians; the civilians who captured downed airmen were some of the most vicious people imaginable. The civilians took great pleasure in dismembering prisoners while still living, skinning prisoners while still alive for entertainment.
